Donna Summer, The Queen of Disco, Dies

 Donna Summer, who died today, was one of the biggest stars in the disco genre in the '70s. But she was also a Beatles fan. She sang a very non-disco and reverential version of “Let It Be” in an appearance in 2004 on “Later With Jools Holland.”Holland also interviewed her and played a clip of Summer's disco hit “I Feel Love.” (See video at left.) During the show, she also talked about her influences, including the Beatles. “I love them,” she said.
