Donna Summer, The Queen of Disco, Dies

 Donna Summer, who died today, was one of the biggest stars in the disco genre in the '70s. But she was also a Beatles fan. She sang a very non-disco and reverential version of “Let It Be” in an appearance in 2004 on “Later With Jools Holland.”Holland also interviewed her and played a clip of Summer's disco hit “I Feel Love.” (See video at left.) During the show, she also talked about her influences, including the Beatles. “I love them,” she said. She also revealed to Holland that her mother's name was MaryTMZreported today that the singer, 63, died of cancer.
